I want to encourage each of my clients to journal their experiences, even in regards to how food makes them feel. We are about to begin a bible study on intuitive eating and keeping balance. When one has an experience, no one can take that away. What experiences have you had? Many people have Holy Spirit experiences. You know when you get that emotional epiphany of a celebratory high! What victories have you experienced lately? Read Acts 2:1-4 NIV "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues." So when you get an experience that is unlike the common way, you r experience may not make any sense to the common people. Therefore, in light of nutrition, there is no "one way diet that fits all." You've got to experience life with different foods in order to know what is right for you. The culture may encourage tradition, but you may need to rebel against that so you can find the gift of the Holy Spirit as your personal teacher. Proverbs 14:12 says, "there is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death."
