Need Support?
SUPPORT
Ephesians 4:16 “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
Think of how God calls or prompts us to serve and love others. If He did not do this, then we would not be connected, and anything we gain would be 100% by our own doing. Who would get the credit then? If it’s all about one, then it should be God because there is only one God and He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6) When we feel something drawing us, consider the source because it could or it could not be a good source. In John 6:44 scripture states, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.” What you feel, you attract. This is a concept from Buddhism. If you feel alone, you will attract loneliness. I know God is love because I have never felt more support and comfort from any other. When I feel God’s presence, I feel like I am connected to a greater cause for the benefit of others, not to harm others. When Jesus died on the cross, he knew his mother would need support. He told John to “behold” Mary. We need each other! Life without connections is miserable. The Spirit, Mind, and Body all must do their part. Where the mind goes, the body follows. The Spirit must lead our mind otherwise we would fall prey to the lower things like idol worship or cultural fantasies. So where does your help come from? Psalm 121:2 David writes, “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” So when we feel all alone, do not trust yourself in that feeling. It is important to look up, ask the Lord to help you make connections that will support you and build you up. You can’t do it all by yourself. Romans 8:31 says, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” We were meant to all do our parts in making this world a better place, so let us put down our swords against one another and SUPPORT each other in love!
